NZ Under 15 Teams Dominate
Both the New Zealand Under 15 teams
prove too strong for the NSW CHS teams in today’s first match of the 25th Jubilee
of the Trans Tasman Shield games at West Wave, Henderson.
The NZ girls easily accounted for NSW
CHS 14-7 after taking a commanding lead in the first quarter. The NZ girls continued
to prove themselves too strong as they continued to expand their lead
throughout the game.
The NZ boys also had a convincing win
after leading 6-1 at the end of the opening quarter. NSW closed the gap to
within 2 goals during the final quarter but NZ fought back strongly to prove
the more dominant team.
Match
2 of the series is tonight at 6.30pm (Girls) and 7.45pm (boys).
The
series wraps up tomorrow at the Diocesan Pool at 9.30am (Girls) and 10.45am (Boys)
