Dowling from Southland – Younger than her Cap Number
The Southland U16 Girls’ Team has one
player, Ella Dowling who is only 12 years of age, she plays number 13 for her team. What she lacks in age and size, she makes up for with her determination. Head Coach David Bowie
believes that she will become a dominating centre back during the next few
years and that she is one to be watched!

David's son, Brendan is the Head Coach of the
Southland U16 Boy’s Team. The father/son combo, seem a relaxed and fun loving
team who have great relationships with their athletes. Brendan lived in Auckland
for 4 years whilst attending the University of Auckland and coached for Marist Club.
The Southland Boys finished 19th out of 28 teams and the Girls finished 20th out of 23 teams at the Panasonic Pan Pacific Water Polo Tournament.
